Women's Trench Coats have that air of mystery about them. A litle bit of Casablanca and Ingrid Bergman. All they need is a slouchy fedora to go with them and you have the whole picture! The new trenches are interesting too. They sort of go with the 2010 military look and the squared shoulders and all that. Since I do need new rainwear I thought I would go in search of trench coats that are waterproof and kill the two birds with one stone bit. This London Fog Belted Trench is a nice all weather walking coat in red garnet, tan or black. A more expensive and very swish looking walking trench is this Burberry Matelasse Trench in black or purple. The Matelassé check covers an all-weather, double-breasted trench designed with epaulets and belted cuffs, and cinched with a buckled belt at the waist. It's made in Italy and the details are : Front button closure. Back vent. Approx. length from shoulder: regular 40"; petite 37". Cupro/viscose rayon lining. Polyester/wool. The Nordstrom item # is 264218 and the coats is priced at $1,195. It is a snappy coat. While I'm about it, here's a great markdown coat if you can get an order in in time. It's a Kenneth Cole New York Metal Button Trench Coat. In Flame Red, Black or Rye (tan). The buttons are encased in metal and a grommeted belt adds a subtle edge to a swingy trench fashioned with gunflaps, button-tab sleeves and a front inverted pleat. It's Nordstroms item #261596 and the price is a ridiculous $99 which is 35% off the original $158. Run don't walk!
